We have just finished a large speed table using 55/10 HRA for Leicestershire county council as part of there speed reduction scheme around Earl Shilton and Barwell.

We where asked by Leicestershire County Council of we could do a lasting temporary repair to the failed bridge joints A6 between Loughborough and Leicester as all the traditional temporary solution’s where failing straight the way due to the vast depth of the bridge joints. We used polystyrene to fill the joints and topped it of with expanding foam to fill the voids and also to stop the heat melting the polystyrene. We topped them of with our Paco Patch material for a long standing repair until the joints can be replaced.

After a week of laying 800+ tons at manor farm academy Lincoln this is the finished product from start to finish. We used a mixture of standard binder course and SMA surface course. We also layed porous binder and surface course materials as per our clients specification.

We have been busy at Walsall on the junction improvement scheme for highways England and Walsall council. The edgings are in for the footway and the kerbs are ready to be laid today. Keep an eye out for more updates on this scheme.
Tonight we started the job of planing and resurfacing the roundabout and slips on the a511 Coalville for aggregate industries and Leicestershire county council. We shall be doing this job over the next 3 nights and will keep you updated how we go.
