We are all back at work now making the roads a safer place and on our first day back we have received this letter of congratulations through the post for a job we completed for via Notts cc in December.
Today we where at midland quarry’s products st Ives plant doing material trails with new carbon friendly materials. We laid a mixture of binder course and surface course. We even had to let the surface course drive round on the back of the lorry for an hour to check the work ability of the new material once it had been loaded and transported.
This week one of our gangs was at Blackpool to resurface the main roadway into the village hotel club Blackpool. We planed out and resurfaced 250t over 2days including new speed ramps and white lining.
This week we started our 12 week patching contract for Nottinghamshire county council. We will be at various locations throughout Nottinghamshire for this contract to help make safer roads.
Early starts are not a problem for the team at Jordan road surfacing. We started planing at 4am Sunday to make sure we could resurface the carriageway and have it back open for 12pm Sunday lunchtime at the request of our client Notts county council. We had to plane out 200+ tonnes and regulate and lay 40mm of 10mm Sma surface course.
