Jordan Road Surfacing was established in 1995, the brainchild of our Principal and Managing Director, Barry Jordan. Following in a long line of family involvement in the industry, the company was originally created to be a specialist plant and labour hire provider for the East Midlands construction sector.
In 2004, as we established a strong reputation for service and quality and started to grow, a decision was taken to begin trading as a registered Limited Company. One of our unique selling points is the breadth and depth of experience and longevity of service of our Senior Management team, where there is over 180 years of combined experience within the road surfacing, road planing, recycling and civil engineering industries. For that very reason, Jordans are a go-to partner for full in-house construction packages from design through to completion on a wide range of road-related projects.
Long before recycling and environmental sustainability became fashionable in the industry, Barry Jordan had a keen interest in the subject. Through his passion and determination, as well as the adaption of greener technologies and working practices, Jordans started to pivot away from its traditional base.
In 2012, we developed and invested in Cold Mix Binder alternatives to establish ourselves as an innovative recycling market leader in the construction industry. Following a period of accelerated growth, the company moved from its Newark base to a bigger facility near Ollerton in 2019. This coincided with an exciting project, working alongside the Environment Agency, to create a bespoke permit for the storage and treatment of Asphalt Waste Containing Coal Tar and Non-Hazardous Materials. In 2021, this permit was duly granted, making Jordans one of the only legally permitted sites within the UK to carry out this work.
Jordan Road Surfacing Ltd continues to innovate and grow, and now supplies its services and expertise to all parts of the UK.
