Foam Mix (Recycled Binder Alternative)

Experienced & reliable

Flexible & responsive

Fully equipped

JRS Re-Cycler Foam is an eco-friendly sustainable pavement solution made of up to 92% recycled material and is an alternative to traditional asphalt products. It is a proven method for recycling asphalt planings. The product is manufactured under strict control and includes graded recycled materials, PFA, foamed bitumen, cement, water, and hydraulic binder.

By utilising less binder and eliminating the need to heat the aggregate, JRS Re-Cycler Foam produces a surfacing material with a significantly lower carbon footprint during manufacturing, resulting in up to 50% less Co2 emissions compared to traditional hot asphalt. This eco-friendly approach not only contributes to reducing our carbon footprint within the environment but also provides cost savings to clients.

Our product complies with specification for Highways Work Claus 948 and British Standard BS9228 for manufacturing, installation, and testing, ensuring a quality performance throughout production.

Foam Mix offers several benefits, such as:

  • Cost-effective
  • Reduced Carbon footprint
  • Increased spread rates
  • Utilises recycled aggregates
  • No requirement for insulated transport

Products such as Re-Cycler Foam are contributing to the development of a more sustainable circular economy within the construction industry. By recycling asphalt planings and creating a usable paving material, it reduces the need for raw materials and the amount of waste sent to landfills.

The circular economy is about creating a closed-loop system where resources are kept in use for as long as possible, and waste is minimised, creating a more sustainable and efficient system. The use of innovative recycling technologies like Re-Cycler Foam is a significant step towards achieving this goal in the industry.

Hazardous materials like Asphalt Waste Containing Coal Tar (AWCCT), also known as “tarbound,” present a significant challenge to contractors and local authorities in terms of disposal and management.

The material contains coal tar, a hazardous substance that poses a risk to human health and the environment if handled incorrectly. As a result, the disposal of tarbound waste is subject to strict regulations, and it must be transported to a licensed facility for safe disposal.

Jordan’s are proud to have a bespoke Environmental Permit (EPR/WP3604LH) that allows us to accept Asphalt Waste Containing Coal Tar (AWCCT) into our facility for treatment and safe reuse once encapsulated. This is a significant accomplishment, as handling and disposing of tarbound waste is a complex and challenging process due to its hazardous nature. By being able to treat and reuse tarbound waste, Jordans are making a valuable contribution to sustainability by reducing waste and promoting the circular economy.
